RAK Publishing is based inside the legendary RAK Recording Studios which were created in 1976 by record producer Mickie Most who sympathetically converted an imposing Victorian schoolhouse and church hall into a state-of-the-art recording studio complex with full residential facilities - www.rakstudios.co.uk

RAK’s catalogue contains over 3000 titles that include artists such as Hot Chocolate, Steve Harley, Kim Wilde, Julie Felix, Barclay James Harvest and Camel.

RAK has a network of sub publishers both in Europe and America ranging from Major Publishers such as EMI and Warner Chappell to smaller independents like us, Cafe Concerto, Melodie Der Welt and Talpa Music to name but 3.

Aside from RAK’s fantastic back catalogue we are signing new composers and writers.

On the whole we don’t have a strict signing policy, if anything we want to continue the diversity of the catalogue that Mickie Most originally created, looking at all styles of music and the people that create it. To quote Mickie from an interview he did in 1998 ‘There has to be that bit of magic, the song, the recording, the whole thing in my mind has to add up to a hundred and when I hear it I go “That’s it”
