Crowns record debut singles at RAK

6th Sep 2011

RAK Publishing has struck a deal with the exciting up and coming band Crowns under their studio/publishing template to record and publish what will be an initial single in oct/nov 11' (TBC) followed by an EP in the new year.

Since moving from Launceston to London in 2008, Crowns have inadvertently become an antidote to the now ubiquitous ‘new-folk’ scene, playing support slots for Brandon Flowers, Big Country, Gallows and The Pogues.

Their set-list pitches traditional Cornish folk songs that were picked up (and punked-up) in local pubs against a backbone of original tunes. Songwriter Bill Jefferson’s unique combination of salty, sing-a-long anthems and folk-punk party songs are guaranteed to get your sea legs dancing.
